The Moon occults the Pleiades around 11:15 p.m. on 10/9
Southern Taurid meteor peaks on 10/10 (ZHR=5)
Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS is nearest Earth on 10/12, and is expected to be visible at sunset in the west, and it will also be close to the globular cluster M5 on the evening of 10/15.
Orionid meteor peaks on 10/22 (ZHR=15)

Mini Star Party Wednesday 10/9 thru Sunday morning 10/13 at Camp Cullom. This is in conjunction with the Camp Cullom annual Chili Dinner on 10/12 ($10 / person).

The next Star Tour public outreach session of the year will be October 26th at Mounds State Park starting at 7:00 p.m. This will be the last Star Tour event this year.
