Announcements:

The September meeting will be a pitch-in, bring a dish to share, at Summit Lake park's Sunset Shelter on August 31st starting at 3 p.m. Our normal meeting day falls on the Labor Day Holiday so we can't meet at usual place. Weather permitting we will be doing public outreach: solar viewing from 6pm to 8pm, stargazing after 8:30pm. Since we'll be at a state park there will not be a Zoom meeting.

The club will be doing outreach with the Scouts at Camp Ada on Saturday, September 7th, from 8pm to 11pm

The next Star Tour public outreach session of the year will be September 28th at Mounds State Park starting at 8:00 p.m.

Have you watched an interesting astronomy related YouTube video, listened to a podcast, or read an online article? Send me the link, and I'll share it with the rest of the club.

The club has a Tele Vue coma corrector (Paracorr) for sale. If you're interested in adding it to your equipment inventory, please contact Fred Hick, Dan Malone or Chris O'Brien

Are you doing astrophotography? Send me your latest images, and I'll publish them for the club to see.

Do you have equipment to sale, or are looking for a specific item to buy? Let me know and I'll get the word out to the rest of the club.
